The North Texas Tech Prep Consortium has issued a Request For Proposals for schools in the North Texas Region to apply for Tech Prep funds. The counties served by the North Texas Region are Archer, Baylor, Clay, Cottle, Foard, Hardeman, Montague, Wichita, Wilbarger and Young. Throckmorton ISD is also included in the North Texas Tech Prep Region.
In order to be considered for funding on a competitive basis for the 2005 – 2006 school year, each application must include all the components listed in the RFP that can be downloaded from this web page. All forms must be filled out and returned by the due date to be considered. A volunteer group of local employers will determine how the funds are distributed upon approved by the Executive Board of the North Texas Tech Prep Consortium. Any application that is not complete may be automatically screened out of the competitive process. Applications may be for funds for the activities listed in the RFP and from grades 8 to 12. A PEIMS listing of Tech Prep students you are coding as Tech Prep for the school year 2005 – 2006 must be included with the RFP.
You must check your forms carefully to be sure they are filled out correctly. Always check and recheck budget figures.
There are two levels of funding and suggested activities for these levels.
Request for Proposals are due on or before OCTOBER 31, 2005 by 11:30 AM. There will be no exceptions to this date. You must also belong to the North Texas Tech Prep Consortium area to apply.
